Card payments from customers abroad
Stripe doesn't serve Türkiye. A US LLC with a US bank account can apply for a US Stripe account, and founders here can apply to Mercury, which decides each application.
From Türkiye · Middle East and North Africa
For founders in Türkiye who need Stripe, a US contracting party or dollar pricing. Stripe doesn't serve Türkiye, but a US company can apply, and founders here can apply to Mercury, which decides each application. Türkiye asks you to report the capital you send, and can treat a company run from Türkiye as Turkish, so read that section first.
Launch + Wyoming filing; the tax return is separate.Checked by Saais Patel, compliance reviewer.
At a glance
Mercury takes applications from founders living in Türkiye. Wise gives no USD account details there.
The banks, in detailYou can form a US LLC while living in Türkiye, without an SSN or a US visit, and founders here can apply to Mercury, which decides each application. Launch starts at $351.40 in Wyoming, including our plan and state filing fee. Stripe doesn't serve Türkiye, so a US company is the usual way in. Two Turkish rules come first: send the capital export form within three months, and know that a company with its business headquarters in Türkiye is resident there.
Before you form
Wyoming LLC
Owner-run SaaS, games or e-commerce, with US Stripe.
Delaware C-Corp
Raising from US investors; plan where it's run.
Both charges are the state's, before our plan, optional services and your advisers' fees. Wyoming sets a minimum yearly charge, and Delaware's franchise tax depends on how it's calculated. Staff, stock or premises in another state can bring obligations there. An S-corporation isn't an option, because nonresident aliens can't hold its shares.
Prepare the information
You don't need a Turkish company to form a US LLC. The EIN is the US company's tax ID. Send identity documents through a secure request, and only the ones asked for.
How it works
The state approves the company, the IRS issues the EIN and each provider approves its own account. In Türkiye, you send the capital export form and your adviser handles the tax office; we don't file there.
You and your adviser
Decide whether you need a US company at all, where its business headquarters will be, and whether the CFC rule could reach it.
You leave this stage with: A management and tax plan that fits Türkiye's rules.
You choose; BaseAcross checks
We check the proposed name and provide the registered agent in the formation state. The registered office is for legal papers, not your operating address.
You leave this stage with: Confirmed filing details and a registered agent.
BaseAcross files; the state approves
We submit the formation filing and send you the state's documents once it's approved. The company exists from that approval.
You leave this stage with: State-approved formation documents.
BaseAcross
We draft the LLC Operating Agreement or corporate bylaws. Check every name and share against your passport before you sign.
You leave this stage with: Operating documents for your records, your bank and US providers.
BaseAcross prepares; the IRS issues
The EIN is a separate application after formation. Without an SSN or ITIN, it goes on Form SS-4 rather than the IRS's online tool.
You leave this stage with: The IRS's EIN confirmation once it's issued.
You apply; the providers review
Start with Mercury, which opens for founders living in Türkiye. Wise won't give you USD account details. When you first send capital, send the capital export form to both ministries within three months.
You leave this stage with: An approved account and the ministries notified.
You, your US preparer and your adviser
Record every payment between you and the company, where decisions were made and what share of revenue is passive. Put Form 5472 and your Turkish return on one calendar.
You leave this stage with: A yearly calendar with someone responsible for each filing.

Published service estimates and prerequisites for a Wyoming company from Türkiye
These are service estimates, not promised completion dates. The IRS and each provider set their own processing times. Names or addresses that differ between documents slow every stage.
What it costs

Plans, trials and add-onsThe $309 Launch renewal example is the $249 plan renewal plus Wyoming's $60 minimum license tax. Wyoming charges the greater of that minimum or 0.0002 of the company's assets located and employed in the state, and paying online can add a processor fee. The Operate example uses the same minimum.

What changes because you live here
1 of 4: The tax treaty
The tax treaty
The US–Türkiye income tax treaty is in force.
It caps US withholding on interest at 15%, on dividends at 20%, or 15% for a qualifying company shareholder, and on most royalties at 10%. Pay for work you do in Türkiye generally isn't US-source income, so the treaty matters less for a services business.
Tax and the capital form
The capital export rule comes from the Ministry of Trade's own page; the tax rules from PwC's summaries of Turkish law. They run alongside the US steps below.
You
Send the capital export form to the Ministry of Treasury and Finance and the Ministry of Trade. Do it again within three months of closing or selling the company.
You and your adviser
A company whose legal or business headquarters is in Türkiye is resident there, and pays corporate tax at 25%.
You and your adviser
The CFC rule taxes your share of undistributed profit when residents control 50% or more, passive income is 25% or more of gross revenue, and the effective tax rate at home is below 10%.
You
Residents are taxed on worldwide income at 15% to 40%, and credit foreign tax with proof from the foreign tax authority.
Worked example
This is an illustration, not advice. How Türkiye treats a disregarded US LLC is for your adviser.
You own all of a US company with USD 100,000 of gross revenue in the year.
USD 30,000 of it is interest and royalties, so 30% is passive. That's above 25%.
A single-owner LLC with no US trade often pays no US tax, so its effective rate is below 10%.
If Türkiye treats the LLC as a company, every test is met, and your share of the undistributed profit is taxed. With only subscription revenue, the 25% test fails.
What Türkiye expects
Türkiye taxes residents on worldwide income, treats a company with its business headquarters in Türkiye as resident, and taxes passive income held in a low-taxed foreign company. Send the capital export form within three months.
A resident of Türkiye who sets up a company abroad sends the capital export form to the Ministry of Treasury and Finance and the Ministry of Trade within three months of first sending capital. Closing or selling it later needs the same notice.
Residents are taxed on worldwide income, at rates from 15% to 40% in 2026. Profit from a business can be taxed in Türkiye even if the trade is carried on abroad.
A company is resident in Türkiye if its legal or its business headquarters is there. A US company you run from Istanbul can be resident, and resident companies pay corporate tax at 25%.
Under the controlled foreign company rule, Turkish owners are taxed on a foreign company's undistributed profit when residents control at least 50%, at least 25% of its gross revenue is passive, and it pays an effective tax rate below 10% at home.
You're resident if your legal residence is in Türkiye or you intend to settle there; a foreigner is resident after more than six months in a calendar year. Foreign tax can be credited with proof from the foreign tax authority, up to the Turkish tax on that income.
On the record
We form US companies. We aren't Turkish tax advisers. These are the rules as they're generally published, they change, and how they apply to you depends on details this page can't know. Take this list to a tax adviser in Türkiye before you order, and we'll tell you what the US forms need.
After formation
A US LLC with one foreign owner is usually a disregarded entity that files Form 5472 with a pro forma Form 1120 when it has reportable transactions with you. Money you put in, take out or are paid for your work can count even in a year without sales. The IRS penalty for not filing starts at $25,000.
For a calendar-year company, the return is usually due 15 April, and Form 7004 requests an extension before then. A C-Corp, or an LLC with more than one owner, files different returns.
Form 5472 and the pro forma 1120Keep the registered agent active and track the state's yearly charge. In Türkiye, send the capital export form on time, and file your return with the company's income in it.
US-created companies are exempt from BOI reporting under FinCEN's current rule, effective 14 August 2026. Banks and payment providers still verify who owns the company.
| Task | Who handles it | Where the responsibility ends |
|---|---|---|
| Formation and EIN application | BaseAcross prepares and submits | The state approves formation; the IRS issues the EIN. |
| Bank and payment applications | You, with our guidance | The provider verifies the information and decides. |
| Capital export form | You | We provide the formation documents and the capital you paid in. |
| Turkish income and corporate tax | You and your adviser | We provide the US company records they need. |
| Annual state filing | You, or our optional filing service | Reminders are included; managed filing and the state charge are separate. |
| US federal returns | You and your US tax preparer | Launch and Operate remind you; they don't file the return. |

Questions
If yours is not here, email us at hello@baseacross.com before you order.
Yes. US law doesn't require an LLC's owners to be US citizens or residents, and formation, the EIN and the bank applications all happen remotely. Türkiye allows residents to set up companies abroad, and asks you to report the capital you send. Owning a US company doesn't give you a US visa.
Yes. Within three months of first sending cash or other capital to set it up, you send the capital export form to the Ministry of Treasury and Finance and the Ministry of Trade. You tell them again within three months if you close or sell it.
It can. A company is resident in Türkiye if its legal or its business headquarters is there. A US company you run day to day from Istanbul can be resident, and resident companies pay corporate tax at 25%.
It can, through the controlled foreign company rule. It applies when Turkish residents control at least 50%, at least 25% of the company's gross revenue is passive, and it pays an effective tax rate below 10% at home. Ordinary trading income is usually taxed when it's paid out.
Launch starts at $351.40: $249 for the plan plus $102.40 for the Wyoming filing. The plan and Wyoming's minimum yearly charge then total $309 a year. Your adviser's fees, US return preparation and Turkish filings are separate. Wyoming's license tax can be more than its $60 minimum.
A Wyoming LLC usually suits an owner-run business selling worldwide. A Delaware C-Corp suits raising from US investors. Either way, where the business headquarters sits decides Turkish residence. Nonresident aliens can't hold shares in an S-corporation.
Yes. Without an SSN or ITIN, the application goes on Form SS-4 instead of the IRS's online tool. We prepare it after the company is formed, and the IRS issues the number.
Each stage has its own clock. Wyoming's published turnaround is same day once a complete filing is accepted. Our ordinary EIN estimate is six to eight weeks after the application, or two to three weeks with the $199 expedited option. Banks, payment providers and Stripe each set their own review times. These are estimates, not promises.
Usually you can apply. Türkiye isn't on Mercury's list of countries it doesn't serve, and the list goes by where you live. Mercury still reviews each company and can decline.
Not for USD account details. Wise says it can't give USD account details to founders living in Türkiye. Relay doesn't bar Türkiye, but it asks every owner for a physical US address.
For Stripe itself, usually yes. Stripe doesn't list Türkiye among the countries it supports. A US LLC with an EIN and a US bank account can apply for a US Stripe account, and Stripe can decline.
Generally not. Pay for work you do in Türkiye is generally not US-source income, so a single-owner LLC with no US office or staff often owes no US income tax on it. It still files Form 5472 with a pro forma Form 1120 when it has reportable transactions with you.
Yes, it's in force. It caps US withholding on interest at 15%, on dividends at 20%, or 15% for a qualifying company shareholder, and on most royalties at 10%. Türkiye credits foreign tax with proof from the foreign tax authority, up to the Turkish tax on that income.
Possibly. Law No. 7582 gives certain individuals who become resident a 20-year exemption on foreign-source income, subject to conditions. Ask your adviser whether you qualify, and whether income from a company you run from Türkiye counts as foreign.
On Launch and Operate, we add deadlines and reminders; you or your accountant file the federal returns. Managed annual state compliance is an optional $149 service fee a year, with the state's charge separate. The capital export form and your Turkish returns are for you and your adviser.
US-created companies are exempt under FinCEN's current BOI rule, effective 14 August 2026. A company formed outside the US and registered to do business there is a different case. Banks still collect ownership details for their own checks.
