01What we do
What does managed mean here?
- Set up WordPress on your domain, with HTTPS.
- Back up the whole site every day, into separate storage that can't be changed for a week.
- Patch WordPress itself: security releases go on automatically, and you choose when to take a major version.
- Lock WordPress's own files so a bad plugin can't quietly rewrite them, and check them against WordPress.org every six hours.
- Watch the site's administrators every hour, and email you when one is added or changed.
- Check your plugins daily against a public vulnerability feed, and email you about any high or critical issue.
- Slow down password guessing at the login page.
02What you do
What stays in your hands?
Everything you'd expect to control. Pick your theme, install the plugins you need, write the pages and run the shop. Each person on your team signs in to WordPress with their own account, from the dashboard. Tools that edit files on the server directly are blocked, because they're the usual way a site gets taken over.
The 10 GB covers files and the database together. We tell you when the site reaches 80% of it. At 100% new uploads pause, but updates still go through.

What if the site gets busy?
A larger plan, Pro, has 4 times Starter's power and 30 GB of space for $29 a month, as room on our servers allows. The site moves up at the same address, and you pay the difference from that day.
