Service of process
A lawsuit, a subpoena or a garnishment order. It's handed to us in person at the street address. We scan it to you the same day and keep it in your documents with the date it was served.
Every US company has to name someone at a street address in its state who can be handed a lawsuit or a state notice. Your address abroad won't do. That's us, on every plan, from the day the company exists.
Checked by the BaseAcross team.
It accepts lawsuits and state notices for your company, at a street address in its state, every business day.
If the company is ever sued, the papers are handed to the agent. That is called service of process, and we scan them to you the same day. If nobody can be found to accept them, a court can carry on without the company ever knowing. State notices come the same way, like the annual report reminder or a tax notice, and each one goes into your documents the day it lands.
A company with no valid agent gets moved out of good standing and, in the end, dissolved. So the agent is what keeps the state's file open. It isn't a mailbox, though. The address is the company's legal address, not somewhere for customer post or a bank card. The state's own yearly charge is separate, $60 in Wyoming and $400 for a Delaware LLC, and we pass it through with nothing added. We email you before any renewal is taken.

Legal papers and state notices, on paper. Each one is scanned into your documents the day it lands.
Legal papers and state notices both arrive on paper, at an address you'll never visit, in a country you may never have been to. That's the problem the agent solves. Somebody has to be standing there, and the state won't accept an answer that begins “I live in Lagos”.
Everything is scanned the day it arrives and put in your documents. From there, a signed link can show a bank one document without giving anybody an account. Anything with a deadline goes on the same calendar as the annual report and Form 5472, with the fee shown next to the date.

A person or company with a street address in the state where your company was formed, who is there in business hours to accept legal papers and state notices for it. Every US company has to have one. Ours is included on every plan for the first year.
No. The agent has to be at a street address in the state during business hours, ready to accept legal papers in person. An address in another country can't do that, and the state won't accept a PO box.
It's included for the first year on both plans. Launch renews at $249 a year, with the agent in it. On Operate it stays included while you subscribe. We email you before any renewal is taken.
No. It's the company's legal address, for lawsuits and state notices. Give customers, banks and platforms an address where post actually reaches you. That can be your address abroad.
Yes. A transfer keeps the company as it is, with its name, file number and formation date, and changes the agent to us. Ordering takes a few minutes. Wyoming records the change up to 15 business days after it reaches the office, and Delaware in two to three weeks. You pay only the state's fee to record it, at cost.
The state gives you a short window to appoint a new one. After that it moves the company out of good standing and, eventually, dissolves it. That's why we email you before the renewal, and why it's on your calendar.
It takes about four minutes. You see the whole order, state fee included, before anything is charged.
