Tool · eBay fees

What eBay takes from your sale, from wherever you're registered.

eBay.com takes 13.6% up to $7 of the whole sale, shipping and sales tax included, plus $0.40 an order. A seller registered abroad also pays an international fee on every US buyer, 1.3% to 3.3% depending on the country, and up to 3.5% more if eBay converts the payout. A US company pays neither on US sales.

What a US company costs

eBay's standard rates on eBay.com. eBay Store subscribers pay different final value fees, and advertising, refunds and income tax aren't counted. eBay raises its conversion charge on 2 December 2026.

02 · Selling from abroad

What a seller registered abroad pays on a US buyer.

eBay sets the international fee by where you're registered, and charges it whenever the buyer is outside your own country. Countries with their own eBay site, such as the UK, Germany and Australia, use that site's fee page instead.

03 · As a US company

What eBay asks of a US business seller.

  • An EIN. The company's tax number, which every plan of ours includes.

  • A physical business address. No PO boxes. A registered agent's address isn't your place of business, so plan for a US street address where the business operates.

  • A business checking account. In the company's name, verified with its routing and account numbers.

  • Its owners' details. eBay asks about every owner and officer. A single-member LLC owned from abroad gives US payers a W-8BEN in the owner's name; our W-8BEN helper fills it in.

In most categories, 13.6% up to $7,500, then 2.35% of the total amount of the sale, plus $0.40 an order ($0.30 on orders of $10 or less). On a $50 item with $8 shipping that's $8.29. Books, movies and music pay 15.3% up to $7.

Where the fees come from

These are eBay.com's usual rates. eBay adds fees for sellers below its performance standards, and Store subscribers pay different final value fees. Check eBay's fee page before you price.
